This exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago features 50 works from artists working in America after the economic crash of 1929. America after the Fall: Painting in the 1930s will include work from artists like Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Grant Wood, as the nation and its artists dealt with the fallout of this economic disaster and what it meant for the concept of the American Dream.
