Saved By The Max Is A Blast From The Past

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 2 June 2016
In the early 1990s, the teenagers of Saved by the Bell’s Bayside High were definitely some of the television’s most beloved characters. Zack, Kelly, Lisa, Slate, Jessie, and Screech were friends that had fun and cared about each other, and many viewers would have loved to grab a burger and fries with the characters at their local hangout, The Max. This upcoming pop-up diner in Wicker Park is definitely close to this dream. While the characters may be fictional and their actors no longer teenagers, The Max lives on at Saved by the Max, a Saved by the Bell-inspired pop-up diner is a near-perfect recreation of the eatery from the television show. The diner features a themed menu to go along with its interior, with a ‘Preppy BLT’ and more. Its dinner service’s reservations are already all booked but they still allow some walk-ins each night for dinner, while its brunch and late-night services are all walk-in only. The diner will also host special events including costume parties and a trivia night.
