WEEKEND RECAP: So can Saturday just start over again? I didn't want this past weekend to end. It all started here at the Windy City Ribfest in Uptown… #Happy4thOfJuly #IndependenceDay #OnlyInChicago #RealTalk #New #Instamoment #Instaphoto #Instagram #NoFilter #DoubleTap #PicOfTheDay #GetOnMyLevel #TreatYourself #WindyCityRibfest #ChiCity #Uptown #July2015 #Summer #TeamFollowBack #ToBeContinued
It's the most wonderful time of the year! The annual #WindyCityRibFest is just another excuse to pig out 🐷 on some finger-lickin' and lip-smakin' BBQ. My personal faves are the tasty ribs and brisket so tender it melts in your mouth from Texas Lightning BBQ. P.S. Today's your last chance to be part of this saucy festival! 🐽🐽🐽
July 1-4: African Caribbean International Festival of Life in Union Park
July 4th: Independence Day is obviously a day we dedicate to saluting our country, but it’s also for celebrating in style with fireworks. Here are a few of our favorite events on the agenda:
• The 57th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Chicago’s History Museum: 10 am. Free to Illinois residents!
• White Sox vs. Yankees Independence Day Celebration: 1:10 pm. And they’re even offering specially priced tickets to all military personnel, veterans, their family, and friends!
• The Third Annual Freedom Fest: 6:30 pm. Located on Navy Pier’s rooftop – it’s a spectacular event for all ages, complete with mouthwatering BBQ, a full bar, and live music! It’s also a great place to watch the fireworks at Navy Pier, beginning at 9:30 pm.
