Whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, or want to experience a little more culture – there’s something on this list for everyone. Last but not least, we’ve got a lengthy lineup of fireworks. Blast off!

July 1-3: Windy City RibFest is taking place at Lawrence & Broadway. Plenty of meat but also plenty of live music!

July 1-4: African Caribbean International Festival of Life in Union Park

July 4th: Independence Day is obviously a day we dedicate to saluting our country, but it’s also for celebrating in style with fireworks. Here are a few of our favorite events on the agenda:

• The 57th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Chicago’s History Museum: 10 am. Free to Illinois residents!

• White Sox vs. Yankees Independence Day Celebration: 1:10 pm. And they’re even offering specially priced tickets to all military personnel, veterans, their family, and friends!

• The Third Annual Freedom Fest: 6:30 pm. Located on Navy Pier’s rooftop – it’s a spectacular event for all ages, complete with mouthwatering BBQ, a full bar, and live music! It’s also a great place to watch the fireworks at Navy Pier, beginning at 9:30 pm.
