This Chicago Dance Month features over 50 performances in dance styles as varied as tap, circus, and aerial ballet. Chicago Dance Month also gives you an opportunity to sit in on an open rehearsal with the Ruth Page Civic Ballet, or to see how choreographer Kyle Abraham uses dance to tell the nation’s unfinished story on the civil rights movement at the Museum of Contemporary Art with his program ‘When the Wolves Came In.’Events will be held throughout the city in a variety of spaces, including numerous free events.
