Maui is located in the mid-Pacific and is part of the Hawaiian island chain. The island is the perfect retreat for sitting back and relaxing by the beach enjoying the island life. The island is also has some great bars. Here’s our list of the top ten best bars in Maui, Hawaii, for whatever nightlife you’re in the mood for.

Ambrosia Martini Lounge

Ambrosia Martini Lounge is open seven days a week and offers one of the latest happy hours on the island going from 7pm-9pm and all night on Saturdays. Ambrosia features entertainment every night in the form of DJs, live music, game nights, and much more. The space is small, which makes for easier mixing and mingling. Enjoy a small plate from their snack menu along with any of the house martinis that are all masterfully made.

South Shore Tiki Lounge

Milagros Food Company

Milagros Food Company is a local family-owned southwestern-style restaurant that has the most extensive tequila selection in Maui. They are known for their margaritas, which are lauded as being the best on the island; they also have a variety of cocktails and beers to choose from. Milagros’ daily happy hour is from one to five in the afternoon, inside only, and offers Kona Brewing Company draft beers, Tecate and Modelo Especial, and house margaritas for only three dollars.

Sea House Restaurant

The Sea House Restaurant is located at the Napili Kai Beach Resort with an open-air bar that sits right on the beach at Napili Bay. The Sea House’s beachfront whale watcher’s bar and sea breeze terrace offers a happy hour from 2pm to 5pm, cocktails from 7am to 10pm, and nightly Hawaiian entertainment from 7pm to 9pm. So customers can enjoy a happy hour cocktail by the beach and then go for a swim in the ocean.

Fleetwood’s On Front Street

Owned by Mick Fleetwood, drummer of Fleetwood Mac, Fleetwood’s On Front Street features a rooftop bar with stunning ocean views. The interior décor of the restaurant is a classic pub style with rock-and-roll artwork and memorabilia. Their happy hour runs from 5pm to 6pm, and they have live musical performances throughout the week. Head up to the roof with a cup of Pimms for sunset during the summer or with a selection from their award-winning wine list for whale watching during the winter.

Haui’s Life’s a Beach

Haui’s Life’s a Beach, also known as the LAB, is the only Kihei bar that serves draft beer in true 16-ounce pints and 24-ounce mugs. They have live music every day during their happy hour from 4pm to 7pm and all day Mondays. There is karaoke three nights a week and music and entertainment nightly. Life’s a Beach is known for their huge mai tais that contain plenty of alcohol to get customers up and singing karaoke.

Kahale’s Beach Club

Kahale’s Beach Club is an unassuming hole-in-the-wall bar from the outside, but inside it is typically packed with locals and has been Maui’s favorite local dive bar for 20 years. Kahale’s boasts the ‘longest and happiest happy hour’ that goes from 10:30am to 5:30pm. They have live music from talented bands every night of the week. The service is friendly and you can even find the owner out on the floor waitressing and making sure everyone is having a good time.

Spanky’s Riptide

Spanky’s Riptide is a sports bar with pub fare, a large beer list, and a bar dog, a chocolate lab named Spanky. The bar has plenty of TVs for guests watching a few games and also features a pool table. The bar is usually a Packers bar on Sundays, and the walls are decorated with Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs memorabilia; but they will make sure your team is on, whether you watch NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA or UFC.

Monkeypod Kitchen

Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea uses local Maui vendors to create the best drink selections. They have 36 craft brews on tap that include local Maui and Hawaiian beers, a wine list with plenty of variety from around the world, and culinary cocktails. Monkeypod features live music three times daily and an outdoor patio where customers can enjoy Pacific Ocean and sunset views while sipping a no ka oi. Their happy hour runs from 3pm to 5:30pm and 9pm to 11pm every day.
