Buttermilk Kitchen is a casual street side restaurant specializing in breakfast food. Try the three-stack buttermilk pancakes, a traditional favorite, topped with maple syrup and a touch of butter. Get a bit more adventurous and pick Buttermilk Kitchen’s ‘Mexican scramble’ plate, including black beans, avocado crema, cilantro, radish, cotija cheese, and pico de gallo, all on soft corn tortillas.

Southern Art is located at the InterContinental Hotel. Headed up by the former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, enjoy gourmet renditions of simple classics like macaroni and cheese and fried chicken.

Flying Biscuit is one of Atlanta’s favorite choices for breakfast. The restaurant prides itself on fluffy biscuits and killer grits. Corner Cafe is dedicated to the sale of bread and other pastry type goods. The restaurant also serves up quite a delicious breakfast – their barbecue shrimp and grits with chorizo is a dazzling take on a Southern classic, and many of their bagels, sandwiches, and baguettes are baked on the day. The sunlit restaurant is often crowded, buzzing with guests enjoying everything from eggs Benedict and coffee to brunch time paninis.
