Cafe Brie

A family-owned and operated place, Cafe Brie is a friendly establishment offering a variety of great food from around the world. From imported meat and cheese plates to a tasty American burger, the menu is brimming with flavorful options that a wide range of tastes. Within a laid-back space, diners can sample breakfast and lunch items with highlights being the corned beef and pastrami omelet topped with Swiss cheese accompanied by fresh fruit and the goat cheese and fig preserves sandwich on rosemary bread with bacon then grilled. Open daily, the cafe also offers various beverages plus many sweet treats, including croissants, cakes, and cheesecakes.

Chez Cafe

A staple on Pompano Beach’s dining scene since 1984, this beloved cafe features farm-to-table fare and offers an ever-changing menu to reflect the freshest, in-season products. Fish ShackDarrel & Oliver’s Cafe Maxx

A bit hard to find, this family-owned and operated venue is a cozy spot, and while that may translate into a wait, it is a wait worthwhile. The menu features many wonderful dishes with highlights being mahi mahi in grilled, fried, blackened, Cajun, or garlic butter varieties, garlic butter shrimp, and the famous conch salad with hints of sweetness and spiciness. For the meat and poultry eaters, there are burgers, a chicken platter, and hand-battered wings. The Fish Shack is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.

Notable highlights include the chicken shawarma, which is a marinated, slowly roasted chicken breast thinly sliced and served with Lebanese garlic sauce, the veggie combo with hummus, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, falafel, grape leaves, and fatayer, and marinated jumbo shrimp with a special Mediterranean seasoning.
