Flip through the course menu, which includes lessons in making French macarons, Genoise cake with raspberries and cream as well as water-coloring techniques for cakes. If you’re looking for a serious lesson in fancy cooking, book a class with the Biltmore Culinary Academy at the iconic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. The class runs for $114 per person and is ideal for aspirational chefs of all levels. There’s also the Culinary Boot Camp, a three-day course that runs $450 a pop.
The Real Food Academy
Though focused on recipes with mostly plant based superfoods, the academy’s lessons are of a huge variety. Satisfy your sweet tooth with the unicorn cupcakes workshop or sprinkle doughnut workshop. Holiday-themed classes are also a must-try, like their year-round Gingerbread houses or the timely Spooky Haunted Houses, Valentine’s Day Love Snack and others. If you’re a single adult, book the fun BYOB class. You can whip up 3 to 4 recipes, bring your own drink and choose from a handful of menus, including the favorite, “Cooking with Wine.” Classes are $60 per person.
