The city of Orlando, Florida, is home to hundreds of lakes, each with its own landscape that offers photo opportunities for Instagram enthusiasts every season of the year. A bird’s eye view will show you just how many lakes “The City Beautiful” has to offer, but to help narrow your search for sites that will definitely give you some snapshot inspiration, we present a list of the most Instagrammable lakes in Orlando, Florida, and its suburbs.

Lake Killarney

Lake Killarney is a beautiful spot in northern Orlando, Florida, that’s perfect for Instagram posts. The absence of a public boat ramp keeps the traffic on Lake Killarney light, making it an excellent choice to take out a kayak or paddle board and snap some great photos.

Lake Ivanhoe

Located in the heart of downtown Orlando, Lake Ivanhoe is a local favorite for boating, fishing and skiing, so your posts are bound to get likes from in-the-know locals. Multiple public parks along the banks of Lake Ivanhoe make for great places to take photos for Instagram.

Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho)

Lake Tohopekaliga, named for a native American word that means “we will gather together here,” covers more than 20,000 acres and has a diameter of 42 miles, making it one of the largest and most Instagrammable lakes in Florida. Known for its bass fishing, wildlife watching opportunities and scenic shoreline, Lake Toho offers lots of opportunities for picture-perfect posts. Be sure to post some pictures from Makinson Island, a 132-acre island in the northern end of the lake that’s only accessible by boat, canoe, or kayak.

As Florida’s third-largest lake, Lake Apopka is a must for your Instagram page. Lake Apopka is fed by a natural spring, so there’s always lots of native and migrating wildlife near its shores.
