Locally known as the MiMo district (Miami Modern), Miami’s Upper East Side is rich with art, ranging from the 1950s to the present. Much of that art can be discovered in boutique hotels, many of which – though recently renovated – maintain their classic charm and chic style. Read our list to discover five great hotels on Miami’s Upper East Side.
Hotel New Yorker
In 2009, a husband and wife converted an old 1950’s motel into a modern classic with charm. Hotel New Yorker perfectly melds the chic style of old New York with the now trendy Miami beach. Rooms are a good size and each one is decorated in a unique way, with colored walls, retro artwork, and modern furniture. The boutique hotel is located in the MiMo district, making it a great location for exploring the nearby arts district. Wake up and enjoy a tasty, free continental breakfast out on the adorable outdoor nook, and then set out for some sites, or just relax by the pool for the day. The staff is extremely cordial and is happy to help you with anything you need during your stay. Vagabond Hotel Sign
