Disneyland at Christmas
Enjoy a classic holiday celebration by visiting Disneyland at Christmas, when the park lights up with holiday decorations and seasonal themed characters. This year, you can also look forward to the brand new Disney Festival of Holidays at California Adventure, featuring food, music, and live entertainment. The park will be decked out in with holiday festivities from November 10th to January 8th.
LA Zoo Lights
Let your wild side out by visiting the LA Zoo Lights, a holiday light show put on by DWP in Griffith Park. The display will feature LED lights, lasers, 3D projections, animal-themed sets, and interactive displays. The event will also feature some of the best lights from the original DWP Holiday Light Festival. This display will be open from November 18th to January 8th.
Six Flags Holiday in the Park
Head over to Six Flags Magic Mountain this month for Holiday in the Park, when the park lights up with festive light shows, holiday décor and goods, and lots of entertainment. Enjoy your favorite amusement park rides and games while reveling in a festive holiday atmosphere, accompanied by carolers and Santa himself. Magic Mountain will be celebrating the holidays from November 19th to January 1st.
Alternatively, enjoy a more typical holiday experience for city-dwellers by visiting the places that really go all out with their decorations: the shopping centers. Rodeo Drive especially dresses up for the holidays, filled with twinkle lights, red ribbons, and extravagant holiday displays in every store window. The road dividers are filled with poinsettias, and nearby hotels light up festively, too. Enjoy a visit while you stroll through this famous street’s shops, giving you a chance to take care of your holiday shopping simultaneously.
If you’re looking for a holiday lights experience that doesn’t charge admission, be sure to check out Westlake Village. The Westlake Village Inn in particular lights up with holiday cheer every year, stretching across 17 acres. The space is filled with Christmas trees and poinsettias, and the European-style inn itself lights up with twinkle lights. There is even holiday entertainment provided every Friday and Saturday night at Bogie’s Night Club & Bar, so you can make a full night of your visit.
