The Valley, located on the outskirts of Los Angeles, is home to some of the very best brunch spots. With this ever-growing fad around brunch, some very delicious restaurants have emerged on the scene. For any of these restaurants, you will want to come hungry to make sure you can enjoy all the breakfast greats and their special treats, such as organic coffee, acai bowls and homemade baked goods.

Sweet Butter Kitchen

Sweet Butter Kitchen is your escape out of the Valley. Though situated right on Ventura Boulevard, the setting makes you feel as if you were out in the country. You walk through their iron gates and into a courtyard with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. This cute spot is home to some delightful and yummy food, and with such a large menu, you wont even know where to start. Some of their most loved dishes are the Mia’s Breakfast (2 eggs and 2 pancakes with bacon or chicken sausage), the Croque Madame and The Matilija. Come here for any breakfast item, sandwich, soup or salad and you will leave happy and full.

Steampunk Coffee bar + Kitchen

This funky café has great character and charm with an eclectic, unique vibe. You will thoroughly enjoy the service you receive from the owner and wait-staff at this café, as they are extremely friendly and want to make sure your experience here is great. This restaurant is a local favorite, and so coming here during the weekend you may experience a wait. Some favorite dishes at Steampunk are the fried chicken and waffles, the breakfast burritos and the egg-in-hole. Along with the delicious food, this café also offers various organic coffee drinks and dessert treats for purchase at the front.

Stepping into Joans on Third is a little overwhelming, since there are so many options displayed and everything looks equally as delicious as the next item. This marketplace is also a great place to buy gourmet groceries or take home some cheese and charcuterie, though their dine-in food options are the real draw. Diners can choose form many different breakfast items, sandwiches, salads and tasty baked goods. With its convenient location, close to the intersection of Laurel Canyon and Ventura, it is the perfect place to stop while running your weekend errands or shopping the local farmers’ market.

Sweet Salt is a trendy little restaurant located in Toluca Lake. It is a great place to catch up with a friend over some great food. Chances are you could be dining next to the rich and famous and not even realize it, as Sweet Salt has a naturally relaxed ambiance and ease about it. Former Top Chef competitor Alex Eusebio, the owner and head chef, has created a menu that is healthy and flavorful, offering breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, soups and more. There is also a delicious dessert case in the front with homemade treats such as s’mores bars, macaroons and cookies the size of your head.
