1. Serramonte Mall

Serramonte is a fantastic mall that has a plethora of things to do. With all of the different types of shops, there is something for everyone, plus there are also plenty of restaurants, such as the Elephant Bar, which is a great place to grab a bite to eat when you need a break from all the shopping.

2. Off The Grid

Once a week, Daly City is graced with the presence of a group of the finest food trucks in the Bay Area. Off the Grid is a weekly traveling market that brings a variety of food trucks to different locations around the peninsula. Every Tuesday from 5pm to 9pm, Off the Grid comes to Daly City, and sets up camp in the Serramonte parking lot and essentially creates a mini restaurant that anyone can enjoy.

3. Daly City Farmers’ Market

If you love fresh fruits and veggies and being outside in the fresh air, you’ll adore the Daly City Farmers’ Market. Located outside of Serramonte, the Daly City Farmers’ Market has been a staple in Daly City for over 20 years. This farmers’ market is every Thursday from 9am to 1pm, and because of its popularity, it now has a second day, Saturday from 9am to 1pm. The best part about the Daly City Farmers’ Market is that it’s always packed with the freshest produce that each season has to offer.

Century 20 Movie Theater

One of the best places to hang out in Daly City is at Century 20 Daly City and XD. Not only does this theater have 20 different screens, it’s also surrounded by places to get food. For example, there’s a Starbucks for those cold winter nights when you want to grab a hot cocoa before your show, and there’s a Cold Stone where you can get ice cream to help you cool off on those warm summer days. No matter where you go, you’re sure to have a fun time before, during, and after whatever movie you choose to see.

4. Classic Bowling Center

If sports are more your thing, then the Classic Bowling Center is the place for you! Complete with 60 lanes, an arcade, a cafe with a full menu of starters and entrees, and a sports bar that has seven TVs and a fully stocked bar, this place has it all. It’s even open late for those nights when you have nothing to do. Because who doesn’t want to go bowling until 2am? And if you’re more into competitive bowling, there are tons of leagues to join. If you like sports, then you’ll love the Classic Bowling Center.

5. Westlake Shopping Center

Westlake Shopping Center is a terrific place to go if you like the outdoors just as much as you like shopping, as you have to walk from shop to shop outside. You can also get your grocery shopping done because there’s a Trader Joe’s located right in the shopping center.

6. The Cow Palace

The Cow Palace

One of the most well-known places in Daly City is the Cow Palace. The Cow Palace is an arena that is located on the border of Daly City and San Francisco, so it is a great place to go if you are coming from either city. And for your convenience, there are even restaurants within the arena so you don’t have to leave when you get hungry. There are all kinds of different concerts, shows, and events held here throughout the year.

Mussel Rock Park is a great place to go, and it is completely free! Bring a ball and play a game of football, or soccer, or whatever sport you choose, or have a picnic with friends and family. This park also has grassy areas to sit, as well as the sand, so whether you’re a beach person or a park person, there is a place for you here.

If you’re looking for a simple, yet fun outing with friends, you should check out Boulevard Café. This cafe has a menu that everyone will enjoy, complete with items like pancakes and waffles for breakfast, and mac ‘n’ cheese and cheeseburgers for lunch and dinner.
