New Boxed Seating
Guests of the Hollywood Bowl this season will see, hear and experience something new and very pleasing about the venue. The bowl has tweaked and improved its acoustic sound system and outfitted the venue with new, intimate box seats.
Prime Hanger Steak
The Premiere Box Service Dinner is just perfect. The dish features heirloom tomatoes, Prime Hanger steak, roasted crimini mushrooms, and potato wedges drenched in a creamy Gruyere sauce.
Grilled Atlantic Salmon
Equally delectable is the Spa Dinner. It includes grilled Atlantic Salmon with rainbow cauliflower along with a kale and salsa verde salad.
The Southeast Asia Neighborhood Variety Platter
Other guests during a recent visit enjoyed the Southeast Asia Neighborhood variety platter. When asked about the sampling dish, the smiles on their faces made the answer obvious.
Finishing the meal is an agave-roasted pineapple upside down cake.
William “Smokey” Robinson Performance
This year’s artist line up is as eclectic and diverse as the city of Los Angeles itself. Artists hitting the stage include William ‘Smokey’ Robinson Jr., performing his many classic songs with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra (featuring conductor Sarah Hicks). He performed three nights in a row over the July 4th holiday at the Hollywood Bowl.
Los Angeles Philharmonic Classical Orchestra
Conductor Lionel Bringuier leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic Classical Orchestra, featuring cello virtuoso Narek Hakhnazaryan, who collectively perform ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ There is something for everyone, including performances that include fireworks shows.
Bring Your Own Meal Options
Those looking for a casual picnic experience can bring their own meal and beverages to enjoy during the show. For romantics, a box seat and a beautiful stage performance – along with a bottle of wine of with robust character — can make for a perfect LA summer night under the stars.
A Hollywood Tradition
Some couples and families have been coming the Bowl for decades. The Hollywood Bowl has stood on the same ground since the 1920s, though it has undergone a few facelifts over the decades. The last makeover of the structure’s half dome or arch shell was done in 2004. Super stars that have graced the stage over the years include Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Elton John, The Doors, the Beatles and The Who (and that’s just to mention a few!).
Performances with fireworks are a 4th of July weekend classic at the Bowl.
