Hollywood Bowl: Top 7 Summer Shows

The largest natural outdoor amphitheater in the United States also happens to be the best outdoor venue in the Los Angeles Metro area! Discovered in 1919 by William Reed and his son, H. Ellis, this beautifully acoustic space hosted its first official concert in 1922. With it’s current slate of just about everything imaginable, here are seven shows not to be missed this summer.

For the Romantic – Carmina Burana with Dudamel

July 21st and 23rd, 8:00PM

Gustavo Dudamel will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic in Orff’s piece based on medieval poems about life, love, morals and drinking.

This 2005 Tony Award-winner for Best musical is returning to the Bowl thirty-five years after the Pythons first appeared here. Strap in for some high comedy and fun times with a star-studded cast and world class orchestra.
