Monday: Go Classy with Music
One of our beloved local hideaways on Market Street hosts a live jazz night every Monday from 8 pm to 11 pm. Yes, we are talking about Local Edition on Market Street. Located right in the heart of the Financial District, this place has everything you need after a long Monday at work: an inspired cocktails menu, the great historical ambiance of San Francisco, open standing space and tables, and perhaps most importantly, a wonderful night filled with live music from The Fil Lorenz Orchestra. This big band also has a big fan following, so you should come early to save a seat. What else is amazing about its music night? There is no cover charge.

Tuesday: Explore the City’s Nerdy Side
San Francisco is expensive, but there are still countless things to do just in your budget. There are plenty of free admission days at popular museums in the city, mostly on Tuesdays. De Young and Legion of Honor are well-known for their generosity on the first Tuesday of every month. The SF Botanical Garden welcomes everybody on the second Tuesday of each month, and so much more. Learn more about San Francisco’s top 10 free museums here.
If you can’t leave your office in the daytime, you can still catch the awesome trivia night in Mission and Castro. SOMA StrEat Food Park is very popular for its urban playground and food trucks, as well as its games. In Castro, HiTops is always a good choice for Tuesday night. Unlike the other place in Mission, HiTops doesn’t have food trucks to ease your hunger, but its kitchen is definitely hot and tasty just like its meals. Get the gang together for a great night of trivia.
Wednesday: Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth
Aside from trivia night on Tuesday, HiTops hosts a Bingo night on every Wednesday evening. While trivia games favor an entourage for better chances of success, bingo is perfect for a solo night out on the town.
Are you craving something sugary to sweeten your week? Dandelion Chocolate offers a factory tour and guided tasting every Wednesday. If you are afraid of being stuck in Ghirardelli Square due to the crowd (especially in summer), then Dandelion Chocolate will be another amazing option for you. The factory tour and the chocolate-making classes are perfect for kids, too, so let’s get your family into the fun by booking a date with them here.

Thursday: Colorful Events for Bookworms
One of our favorite bookstores in the city is The Booksmith in the Haight. Aside from the amazing selection of books, it has a large number of events for readers every week. Thursday is the day for fan fiction lovers, as they have been hosting San Francisco’s premier Literary Erotic Fan Fiction Competition for a while now. Yet every event night is packed. This is the time for you to be Peter Pan, or Captain Hook or anyone else you would like to dress up as. Check out their event calendar here to save yourself a seat at these glorious nights.
It would be a huge mistake if the Nightlife event at California Academy of Sciences is not included in this piece. The beloved Academy hosts nightlife events for everyone over 21 years old (yes, drinks are served) on every Thursday night. Every week has different themes and different live bands as well. It’s better you clear your schedule now because we guarantee you, what you will see there at night will be different from daytime’s experience.

Friday: Food Truck Party
After a long week, you deserve a night with great food and great music with your friends. Off The Grid has been hosting its food truck party every Friday night and we guarantee you, the variety and quality of the food is exceptional. Popular food trucks include Crème Brulee, Chairman, Bombzie BBQ, and so many more. The live music set, the variety of food choices, and number of vendors will definitely make your night. Be aware that the party is located at Fort Mason, so don’t forget your jacket because it tends to get chilly there. The food truck party starts at 5 pm and closes at 10 pm.
