The Los Angeles Philharmonic presents Toyota Symphonies for Youth, featuring four pairs of concerts designed especially for children between the ages of five and eleven, and their families. ‘Spirit of the Cello’ finishes out the 2015-2016 TSFY series, and centers around the relationship between a cellist and his cello. It will feature the works of Handel, Hadyn, and Mendelssohn, and has two dates; April 8th, and April 16th. Before the concert, families can come to the Walt Disney Concert Hall between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for dance, musical activities, theater, and art. Kids can also learn how to properly hold the instruments in workshops led by students. ‘Spirit of the Cello’ is a concert with multiple dimensions, designed to engage kids with storytelling and music in a fun and artistic way.
