Empower Yourself At The Queer Women Of Color Film Festival

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 8 June 2016
The Queer Women of Color Film Festival showcases new films that reflect the lives of queer women of color and address the vital social justice issues that concern multiple communities. The festival is hosted by the Queer Women of Color Media Arts Project, which creates, exhibits and distributes new films that authentically reflect the lives of queer women of color and address the vital social justice issues that concern multiple communities. The organization strives to ‘actively bridge seemingly disparate populations to transform and empower our filmmakers, audiences and communities through art, activism and community building.’ QWOCMAP provides professional training, equipment, screening opportunities and resources free of charge to guarantee full access to traditionally underserved communities, particularly young, low-income, and immigrant queer women of color. Watch the QWCFF trailer here. The festival will take place at Brava Theater. Admission is free.

📅 Fri June 10th – Sun June 12th

📍 Brava! for Women In the Arts, 2781 24th St, San Francisco, CA, USA
