Channel Creativity At The Fiber Fest

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 28 March 2016
The Hammer Museum is putting on the Fiber Fest for families to come and learn about fiber art through hands-on experiments and creations. It’s part of their Close Encounters program, which aim to educate families about different arts. At the Fiber Fest, artist Krysten Cunningham will guide visitors into the world of fiber art. Fiber art is generally art made from synthetic fiber, but it can also be made from fabric or yarn, and the techniques that can be used are vast, such as basketry or crochet. To learn more, drop into the event for a little while.
