The Oscar de la Renta Retrospective will celebrate the designer’s life and career, exploring the evolution of his career in Spain to become one of the world’s most influential fashion designers. The exhibition will feature over 130 outfits produced over five decades, covering categories including early work; Spanish, Eastern, Russian and garden influences; daywear and eveningwear; and ball gowns and red carpet ensembles. André Leon Talley, former Vogue editor and lifelong friend of de la Renta, will curate the exhibition. The exhibition will open at the de Young Museum on March 12th, remaining open until May 29th.
