Take your morning coffee to the next level with this super-stylish coffee machine, which is more of a sculptural centrepiece than the everyday kitchen appliance.

San Francisco-based design firm Montaag wanted to create an espresso machine like no other – one that matches up to the fine art of making truly great coffee.

Despite appearances, the AnZa design comes from humble beginnings, as it was created in a garden shed by the designers. The project has been a real labour of love, taking the team four years to product test and refine the finished design.

As well as the on-trend Brutalist-inspired design, Montaag has also delivered an elegant crisp-white Corian version that will appeal to the minimalist buyer.

Montaag’s principal, Per Ivar Selvaag says: “Surprisingly little in the way of new thinking has taken place in the world of espresso machines—especially given the attention paid to progressive interior architecture and how much real estate these machines take up in your kitchen.”

The AnZa coffee machine isn’t just a pretty face – it also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, the ability to be integrated into the Internet of Things, and will also store the user’s personal coffee preferences to deliver the perfect cup every time.

The Anza will be debuting on Kickstarter from the beginning of August and machines will be ready to be delivered at the start of 2018.
