Philz Coffee

Opened in 2003, this San Francisco-based company has won over coffee enthusiasts all over the Bay Area and beyond. Not only does the Philz Coffee location in Berkeley have characteristically wonderful coffee, it also has some of the best seating around. Situated strategically on the outskirts of the UC Berkeley campus at Bancroft and College Avenue, this cafe is one of the most convenient for sleep-deprived college students.
