Valentine’s Day is a mandatory date night for all couples, whether dating or married, so make sure to grab a reservation (soon) and enjoy a special dinner. This year special fixed price menus will be offered throughout town so get dressed up, find some roses, and celebrate with your significant other at one of these 11 restaurants.

Otium

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Otium in Downtown Los Angeles with Chef Timothy Hollingsworth’s four-course tasting menu with crafted drinks available for an extra cost. The contemporary restaurant with beautiful decor, and design which rivals the adjacent Broad Museum, will be serving special dishes like hamachi, along with the Valentine’s Day special – foie gras funnel cake. Enjoy beautifully prepared dishes along with live music and a photographer to capture those sweet moments.

Spring

Spring, the Downtown LA restaurant which serves French fare in the atrium of the Douglas Building, will be open for Valentine’s Day dinner on February 11 and February 14. Executive Chef Tony Esnault invites guests to try a four-course dinner and a wine pairing. Try their dessert options like the rich foret noire chocolate cake and verrine panna cotta and be taken aback in their oasis-like patio setting.

Spartina

Chef Stephen Kalt’s Cal-Italian restaurant Spartina on Melrose Avenue serves delicious rustic Italian cuisine, from an open kitchen, to guests in their modern room or large patio. This Valentine’s Day, they are serving a romantic five-course tasting menu with a complimentary glass of prosecco or sparking rose. The menu features sharing dishes, a plethora of antipasti choices, a selection of handmade pastas and desserts like the bongo ciocollato and sicilian ricotta cheesecake. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to share a spaghetti dish and reenact the famous scene from Lady and the Tramp!

Tempura Endo

Tempura Endo, the first omakase Kyoto-style tempura restaurant has only eight seats at their bar and is a prime spot to impress your Valentine with a truly one of a kind intimate dining experience. They will be offering a special chef’s menu for couples every night until Valentine’s Day with champagne included. The menu will include an A5 wagyu carpaccio course, Moet bubbly, and a special Japanese dessert.

Wilshire

Wilshire uses local, organic, and seasonal ingredients in their four-course fixed price Valentine’s Day menu with wine parings. Upon entry, ladies will receive flowers before enjoying dishes like the cauliflower panna cotta, duck breast, duo of beef and a small gift when they leave. Get close to your Valentine at their buzzy bar; in the patio, take in the fresh air and connect on a deeper level.

Yxta

Chef Jose Acevedo at Yxta, the modern Mexican spot with high-ceilings in Downtown LA, and also of restaurants Mercado and Maradentro, has a special four-course dinner for Valentine’s Day celebrations. Serving authentic Mexican food with a contemporary twist, visitors will be able to choose from items like the cream of lobster soup or taco dorado de camaron, and finish the meal with a Mexican bread pudding with churro ice cream.

Doma Kitchen

Along with live jazz music, on Valentine’s Day the Doma Kitchen will be serving a three-course tasting menu along with their full dinner menu. Created by chef Kristina Miksyte, the special menu includes items like chicken pâté and the desserts—cannoli and chocolate torte. Guests can also choose from Doma Kitchen’s full menu favorites. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Eastern and Central European eats then jive together to some of the great live music.

Spice Affair

The award-winning Spice Affair restaurant on La Cienega’s Restaurant Row, features an elegant dining room and lounge along with a large banquet hall and serves classic Indian dishes with a modern twist. For Valentine’s Day they are offering a special five-course menu with specialties like the kasoori methi lobster and the traditional Indian paneer asharfi korma. When finishing your meal, leave a lasting impression with your partner and share their dessert platter.

Napa Valley Grille

Treat your special someone to a romantic evening at Westwood’s Napa Valley Grille with a pre-set, three-course menu on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant, which combines local, seasonal ingredients, artisan products and an expansive selection of regional wine, invites diners to enjoy menu highlights which include the pear burrata and serrano ham, lobster stuffed cuttlefish and dark chocolate Ovaltine bar.

Culina

On Valentine’s Day visit Culina, the modern Italian restaurant inside the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills for a special four-course dinner with sommelier wine recommendations. Either indoors under chandeliers or outside on their fire-lit patio, start the meal with oysters, choose between three antipasti selections, two pastas, two secondi options and either the semifreddo al frutoo della passione or baked Alaska for dessert.

The Tuck Room Tavern

The Tuck Room Tavern features whimsical decor and delectable dishes from James Beard Award winner, Chef Sherry Yard. They invite guests to enjoy Valentine’s Day all weekend long, with a six-course aphrodisiac dining experience. From February 10 to February 14, Yard’s dishes include specials like “kiss”, “seduction” and “sweet sensation”.
