When Riccardo Tisci and NikeLab collaborate, sneaker freakers have cause to celebrate. Dropping February 10, 2017, is the new NikeLab Dunk Lux Chukka x RT, available in both black/white and red/white colorways. One catch: you can only score the sneaker in one city this coming Friday—the rest of the world will have to wait an additional two weeks to score these sneaks.

In a statement released by Nike, Tisci claimed skate culture and 1980s basketball stars like Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Magic Johnson inspired the shoe’s aesthetic. This isn’t the first collaboration between Nike and Tisci. In 2014, Tisci and Nike collaborated on an Air Force 1 series, and in 2016, the duo created a 30-piece sportswear collaboration called NikeLab x RT: Training Redefined. But the latest Chukka x RT collaboration is all about style. “I think the Dunk has something that’s very special. It’s grounded in sport as well as in the street style culture,” says Tisci in a statement for Nike. “For younger generations it can fit as many different styles tribes as you can imagine. I think it’s one of the most iconic shoes that Nike has ever created.”

This news comes less than a week after the fashion world was rocked by Tisci’s departure from Givenchy, where he was the creative director since 2005. In a statement, Tisci says he left Givenchy—where he was known for his melancholic, romantic, and sensual take on Parisian couture—to focus on “personal interests and passions.” As high fashion and street wear collide, the fashion rumor mill speculates that Tisci is seeking a more permanent position at Nike or the House of Versace. The fashion world will have to wait to see where Tisci lands, but until then, people can covet his latest collaboration with Nike. So, where in the world can you score the “It” sneaker of the season this Friday?

If you’re lucky enough to live in New York, you can cop a pair at Bergdorf Goodman, NikeLab 21M, Dover Street Market New York, Kith BK, and Concepts NYC. The rest of the world will have to wait until February 23, 2017 to purchase the sneaker at NikeLab retailers and online.

According to Nike, people can expect  “exaggerated proportions” from the shoe, as well as the “big belly Swoosh and englarged foxing and eyestay.” A full-grain leather upper offers durability and cushioning and memory foam inside provide comfort. the And then there’s the quilted extra large leather tongue. Swoon.
