Move over, “unicorn” foods. Mermaids are the inspiration behind the next dazzling food trend.

In time for summer’s beachy days, the evolution of the multicolored food and drink trend has shifted to sea-inspired “mermaid” bites. In shimmering shades of blues and greens, these lovely treats are as soothing as a day at the seashore. Here’s where to find the prettiest examples, all across America.

Spudnuts, Canoga Park and Newbury Park, CA

These gorgeous, sparkling donuts from Spudnuts, adorned with shells, starfish, and of course a diving mermaid, are nearly too pretty to eat. Nearly.
