There is so much to consider when choosing a wedding destination. After all, it’s supposed to be the most beautiful day of your lives, and that’s not to be taken lightly. There’s not a single style that cannot be accommodated when you get married in California, so here is a taste of the state’s best spots to exchange “I dos.”

Wind and Sea Estate, Big Sur

This secluded destination carries all the wonders of land, sky, and sea. The six-acre Wind and Sea Estate is perfect for the couple that adores nature and its beauty. The inside is drenched in natural light that spills over the blonde hardwood, and the grounds are lush with wildflowers and other greenery that creates a perfect whimsical backdrop for the perfect day. A stone amphitheater, a fire ring, and winding paths make for a lively nighttime reception.

Meadowood, St. Helena

Say your “I dos” under the magical redwoods at Meadowood, which just so happens to be one of Oprah’s favorite vacation spots. How can you pass that up? Not to mention the estate chef sits with every couple to create a customized menu. Enjoy a night of unforgettable wonder, complete with string twinkle lights, real candles, and fire pits.

Ojai Valley Inn & Spa, Ojai

Nestled within Ventura County, the small town of Ojai sets the perfect scene for nuptials. Couples can tie the knot at the posh Spanish-style resort’s lovely herb garden, on the lush lawns, or in the rustic big red barn. And, fun fact for any betrothed late night show lovers, this was Jimmy Kimmel’s wedding venue in 2013.

Edgewood Tahoe, Lake Tahoe

The Jewel of the Sierras creates the perfect backdrop for a wonderful destination wedding. Although technically just over the California/Nevada state line, Edgewood Tahoe can’t go unmentioned. This luxe mountain resort sets a striking stage for an awe-inspiring winter wedding or a truly magical summer wedding. The special experience doesn’t stop there—choose between the lakefront outdoor South or North Rooms or the grand indoor Lodge Ballroom. Weddings at Edgewood prove to be genuinely unique for each and every couple.

Long Branch Saloon & Farm, Half Moon Bay

Long Branch Saloon & Farm is a fun and delightful western-style venue. Get hitched in the beautiful on-site chapel and celebrate in the vast reception area. There’s no telling how grand, rustic, or intimate you can go. This is easily one of the most fun and creative wedding destinations you’ll find.

The GlassHouse, San Jose

The GlassHouse is an ultra-chic, top-choice, luxurious wedding venue with 12,000 square feet just waiting to be customized for that special day. The most dazzling cocktail hour awaits on the Sky Patio, the largest outdoor patio in all of downtown San Jose. The Waterford and the Marquis serve as perfectly extravagant party spaces for dancing, or, if you’d rather have a more intimate atmosphere, reserve one of the three lounges, the Baccarat, Crystal and Lalique.

Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, Sacramento

Not a drop of style is spared when you celebrate your perfect day at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria. Walk down the aisle through the original 1918 Old Foyer for an unforgettable touch of history in this five-story atrium. Bronze and terrazzo floors covers nearly 3,000 square feet of the Galleria, and beautiful bronze statues gaze upon the happy occasion. The history and style at Tsakopoulos Library Galleria makes this one of the most dazzling destination.

The Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco

The famous Palace of Fine Arts Theatre is available for rent and is an ideal wedding destination. Celebrating your commitment to your beloved in front family and friends could not be more special. The lobby can accommodate a reception of up to 400 guests, and inside the theater, red curtains cascade all around for a perfectly romantic backdrop. Reminiscent of Roman ruins, The Palace is a truly unique, perhaps even poetic, choice to solidify your love for one another.

Ace Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles

The Ace Hotel makes for a mesmerizing wedding. With a vinyl library, handcrafted furniture, inspiring art pieces, and even a restored Spanish-Gothic theater, the Ace is vintage meets metropolitan. The venue was built inside the iconic United Artists Theatre and screams old-Hollywood luxe.
