Little Rock, Arkansas is definitely not among the largest cities in the US, but it does offer the life of a big city. Home to many restaurants, bars, places for entertainment and historical sights, Little Rock also hosts priceless gems with good food, a lovely ambiance and friendly staff.

Buffalo Grill

The Buffalo Grill will present you with typical American cuisine like fast great burgers, fries and soda. In case you don’t feel like eating french fries, you can substitute them with fresh onion rings. The veggie nachos are worth trying, too. Choosing to sit either inside or outside, you will quickly get a feel of the great ambiane and friendliness of the staff.

La Hacienda

La Hacienda is an award-winning Mexican restaurant in the Riverdale neighborhood of Little Rock. It is family-owned and has been open since 1997. Quesadillas, enchiladas, burritos and tacos are all freshly made with love and care by the excellent staff. Of course, great Mexican food needs to go with great drinks, so La Hacienda has a rich bar menu that offers drinks to go with any food on the menu.

The Fold

Make one trip to The Fold and try their delicious meals and drinks, and you will end up coming back over and over again, just like most of its customers have. The food, the drinks and the vibe of the place are great. In The Fold you will find some of the best Mexican street corn. Their quesadillas with pork plates are enough for two people to share, and the tacos are pretty awesome, too. No matter what you choose off their menu, you won’t regret your choice.

New Orleans Cuisine

Faded Rose

The Faded Rose brings a true New Orleans restaurant style to Little Rock. It opened in 1982 and since day one has been offering the highest quality New Orleans steaks and traditional Creole comfort food. The family-owned restaurant blends its own spice mixes, cuts its own steaks and makes its own sauces. Definitely worth trying are Rose’s garlic chicken and the pasta Diane.

The Cajun’s Wharf

Cajun’s is famous for its fabulously fresh seafood, aged Angus Beef, and full-flavored good times. The view off their deck overlooking the Arkansas river and the delicious meals make it the perfect combo for a night out in the town. The names of the meals in the menu are fancy, and the food directly corresponds in fanciness. Try some of their hot crayfish and shrimp dip, crispy fried calamari or boiled shrimp, just to name a few. Such seafood delicatessens, usually typical for a coastal city, are a rare find in landlocked Arkansas, but they’re hard to forget once tasted.
