1. Indian Paradise

Step into paradise when you visit this authentic Indian restaurant. The exotic dishes are made with lamb, chicken, shrimp, fish and more. Try the Shrimp Jalfrazee, a stew with mixed vegetables, or the Lamb Biryani, a meal served with saffron flavored basmati rice. There are also numerous vegetarian dishes on the menu, including Baigan Bharta, Kadai Paneer, and Dal Tadka, which is charbroiled eggplant, cooked cheese, and yellow lentils, respectively. Indian Paradise is bold, flavorful, and delicious. The restaurant features a wine bar, and also caters personal and work events. Be on the lookout for a kids’ menu, various naan breads, and champagne brunch on the weekends.

2. Carvalho’s Brazilian Kitchen

Carvalho’s is a family-owned and -operated restaurant that serves incredible Brazilian cuisine to the fine people of Scottsdale. Dine on authentic dishes including plates such as Feijoada, a Brazilian meat dish, or Bobo de Camarão, a large shrimp and pepper dinner. Pair your meal with a delicious fine wine, or sip on a strong Brazilian coffee after dessert, like Brigadeiros, or chocolate truffles with sprinkles. Carvalho’s hosts live music for a few hours each Saturday night, so the place is oozing with ambiance during your meal. It’s a great place to come for date night, or even happy hour during the week. The staff is fantastic, and everyone there treats you like family. It’s a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.

3. Persian Room

Dine in the lap of luxury when you visit Scottsdale’s Persian Room. The fine dining restaurant serves a variety of traditional Persian lunches, dinners and desserts. Start out with an appetizer, such as hummus and sautéed eggplant. Or, choose dolmeh,which is grape leaves stuffed with rice and spices. Follow up with a soup or salad, or dive right into the entrees. Large plates include dishes prepared with chicken, fresh seafood, beef, and lamb. There are also vegetarian dishes, pastas and stews, and a kids’ menu. Keep an eye out for desserts like baklava and Persian ice cream; the Turkish coffee is fantastic as well. The Persian Room features a banquet room that is a popular venue to host special events such as birthday parties or wedding celebrations. They also cater and offer party packages.
