Juneau Pizza

Although it opened not too long ago in January 2012, Juneau Pizza quickly became a favorite among the people of Juneau thanks to their delicious crusts, fresh ingredients, and friendly staff. Everything is made fresh to order with their own homemade dough, sauce, and freshly cut vegetables. It is convenient and easy to get to, with its own parking lot and a bus stop across the street. Favorite menu items include the Ultimate Hawaiian and the nachos. They are open every day except Sundays and Mondays.

The Island Pub

Across the bridge from downtown Juneau on Douglas Island, lies The Island Pub. This is a local favorite for pizzas, appetizers, drinks, and a spectacular view of the steep avalanche chutes that line the channel between downtown Juneau and Thane. Because it’s a bit further from the cruise ships, there tends to be a better balance of locals who frequent the place. Popular appetizers include the hummus and the smoked salmon dip. Popular pizzas include the 4 Little Pigs and The Don. The pizza usually takes a while to arrive, so ordering an appetizer is worth it.

Pizzeria Roma

Since 1998, Pizzeria Roma has been serving up fresh thin-crust pizza and Italian bread, pastas, and wine on the Waterfront in Merchant’s Wharf. With so many inflated prices all over Juneau thanks to the tourism, it is no wonder this pizzeria has become popular among Juneau residents with its great deals. The lunch special includes two slices of pizza, half a verde salad, and a fountain drink. The Italian entrees, including the focaccia sandwiches, fresh salads, and cheesy meatballs, are also pretty popular menu items.

Bullwinkle’s Pizza Parlor

Thanks to their fun video games, free popcorn, and great pizza, every child in Juneau loves Bullwinkle’s, and every adult has fond memories of growing up with it. With two locations on either end of Juneau (one in downtown and one in Mendenhall Mall), this pizza parlor has seen more than three decades of loyal customers. Some favorites are the Hero sandwich and the Taco pizza. Every menu item is made with the freshest ingredients. It’s a great place to bring the kids for parties. If you want delivery, it’ll even come with two free bags of popcorn.

Papa Murphy’s

How can you ensure that the pizza you take home will be both fresh and good quality when you eat it? Papa Murphy’s has it all figured out with their signature Take ’n’ Bake Pizza. Papa Murphy’s uses made-from-scratch dough that has been mixed early each day, real mozzarella, hand-sliced vegetables, and butcher-quality meats to create the freshest pizzas. You choose the type of crust and your favorite ingredients, and then all you have to do is take it home, put it in the oven, and serve the freshly made pizza to your family.
