2. Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara

Building

In addition to being a work of art in itself, this building is home to one of the most active and visited museums in the city. And beyond the art exhibitions in the galleries, there are often workshops and lectures about history, literature, and politics.

A thousand people can enjoy an evening in this beautiful neoclassical theater, one of the emblems of Guadalajara. There are often classical music concerts, ballets, opera, recitals, plays, and presentations by outstanding national and international artists.

5. Museo de las Artes Populares de Jalisco

This museum was created with the thought of exhibiting the best of the crafts made in the state of Jalisco. Beautiful pieces of handicraft can be seen in their galleries from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm.

6. Centro Cultural Casa Colomos

Forest

Inside the Bosque de Los Los Colomos (Colomos Forest) one of the few urban forests in the city, there is this small but very active cultural spot. There are always cultural activities happening, like concerts, painting classes, sculpture exhibitions, and more.

In the very heart of Tlaquepaque, one of the municipalities of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area, stands this huge and beautiful cultural center. Within the center, cultural events, lectures, workshops, concerts, plays, and local art exhibitions are held every day.

8. Centro Cultural Universitario

The most ambitious cultural project in the state in recent years, this huge cultural center is being constructed by the University of Guadalajara. It will integrate the State Library, the Metropolitan Auditorium, a science museum, and concert halls.

9. Centro Cultural Breton

For many years, this independent cultural center has been a starting point for artistic expressions from music to painting. All kinds of art genres are exhibited there – a must-go site for artists.
