The original veg friendly spot in the city, Heartwood has been serving up wholesome vegetarian food since 1995. Come here for organic vegan and vegetarian meals or stop in for a tea, smoothie or vegan dessert. During the summer months, they also run a stall on the Halifax waterfront.

Their storefront is takeout only, but it is located in the Halifax Seaport Market so plenty of seating is available.
