Say 'Benvenuto' To The Italian Contemporary Film Festival

Picture of Culture Trip Toronto
Updated: 29 May 2016
Celebrate Ontario’s ‘Italian Heritage Month’ this June by checking out an Italian flick (or five). The Italian Contemporary Film Festival has quickly evolved into one of the most important Italian film festivals in the world. The festival is held across a variety of Canadian cities, including Toronto, Vaughan, Niagara, Hamilton, Montreal, and Quebec City. ICFF encourages attendees to experience the influence of Italian culture – fashion, design, culture, and film. The Festival promises to defy conventional perspectives; selected films explore the complex challenges facing Italian and global communities.

With nine days to celebrate Italian cinema, expect a packed program. Film enthusiasts can attend everything from industry events with acclaimed filmmakers to North American film premieres and Q&A sessions with filmmakers and actors. If you’re feeling particularly fancy, there’s also the Opening and Closing Galas at Roy Thomson Hall and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. All films are in Italian, or other foreign languages, and subtitled in English (French in the Province of Quebec).

📅  June 9-17, 2016

📍 Toronto screenings will be held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, 300 King St W, Toronto, ON, Canada, + 1 416 599 8433
