Experience Adventurous Art In Adventurous Places With Luminato Festival

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 28 May 2016
For an arts festival that truly has it all, look no further than Luminato Festival. Toronto’s favourite global multi-arts festival is dedicated to performance, visual art, music, theatre, dance, magic and more. 2016 marks the Festival’s 10th anniversary, with events and festivities from June 10th to 26th. With both a free and ticketed program, Toronto culture enthusiasts can take their pick from local and international artists who promise to deliver ‘adventurous art in adventurous places.’

While there’s no going wrong with the packed program, there are a few *don’t miss* events. First up is The James Plays Trilogy: with the tagline, ‘3 Scottish kings. 3 modern plays. 1 epic theatre trilogy,’ this performance – fresh from tours around the UK and Adelaide – is critically acclaimed. If music is more your jam, check out Rufus Does Judy: Canadian singer Rufus Wainwright puts on his recreation of Judy Garland’s iconic 1961 show at Carnegie Hall.

📅 June 10-26, 2016

📍 Various locations across Toronto. Check program for full details.
