Vancouver is also known as Hollywood North, as it’s home to the third largest film industry in North America. Many TV shows and movies are filmed in the Canadian city, so celebrity-spotting is an easy pastime to enjoy. Here are nine famous people you might bump into in Vancouver.

Grant Gustin

As Barry Allen/The Flash on The Flash,Gustin has been based in Vancouver for three seasons now. He loves spending time in the city and says it has a “nice, different appeal,” when compared to L.A.’s hustle and bustle. Gustin has been spotted filming his series in downtown Vancouver near the waterfront, as well as around the Strathcona and Gastown neighborhoods recently.

Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively’s other half, Ryan Reynolds was born and raised in Vancouver. He often returns to visit his family, but in 2015, he spent a lot of time in the city filming his hit movie, Deadpool. Reynolds will come back to Vancouver this spring, to begin production of the sequel, Deadpool 2. The first film shut down the Georgia Viaduct for several days, so perhaps that’s a good place to start when searching for Reynolds in the city.

Jared Padalecki

As one-half of the Winchester brothers in the long-running Supernatural TV show, along with Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki has called Vancouver home for at least part of the year for 12 seasons. The series also just got renewed for an amazing 13th season, so Padalecki isn’t leaving Vancouver anytime soon. Supernatural films all over the city, but some areas the producers return to for different scenes include Chinatown, Riverview Hospital in Coquitlam, and Heritage Park in Burnaby.

Melissa Benoist

Benoist moved to Vancouver in late 2016 to film the second season of Supergirl. Since then, she’s been spotted walking her dog in Gastown and taking part in the Women’s March downtown. Supergirl has taken the city by storm, filming outside in a variety of locations. Try spotting the cast at Cathedral Park, along West Hastings Street in downtown Vancouver, or around Hornby Plaza.

Cole Sprouse

Sprouse is a Disney alum who starred in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody with his twin brother Dylan. After taking some time away from the limelight, he’s back for a role on the popular new series, Riverdale. The cast and crew filmed some key scenes for season one in Langley, which is in the Greater Vancouver area. Sprouse has shared photos on Instagram from all over the region, at places like the Sea to Sky Gondola, Lighthouse Park, and his room at the Fairmont Hotel.

Jennifer Morrison

Alongside her famous castmates like Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison has filmed Once Upon a Time in Vancouver for six seasons. A lot of the series is filmed outside in Steveston, a village in the Greater Vancouver area. Visiting this village when the show films—usually from fall to spring—is the best chance to “bump into” Morrison or one of the other stars from the series.

Dan Stevens

One of the stars of Beauty and the Beast and Downton Abbey, Dan Stevens spent his 2016 summer in Vancouver filming the first season of his hit new series, Legion. He should be back in the city soon to start production on season two. The first season spent a lot of time on set, which was a 160,000-square-foot (14,685-square-meter) former supermarket warehouse in Vancouver’s southeast area.

Paula Patton

The ex-wife of musician Robin Thicke, Paula Patton will be spending her spring in Vancouver filming a new TV show pilot. Somewhere Between is a thriller starring Patton as Laura Price, a news producer. She has discovered when, where and how her daughter will be murdered, leading her to do everything she can to try and prevent the tragedy from occurring. Another famous actor in the series that you may spot in Vancouver is JR Bourne, a Canadian actor who starred in Teen Wolf.
