The TED conferences have firmly established themselves in the world of creativity, innovation and expansion of our minds. TED Talks, founded in 1984, has become synonymous with the fast expanding global tech scene with some of the brightest leaders of our generation taking center stage at TED Talks all over the world.

It’s no surprise that Tel Aviv, also known as the ‘Start-Up City’, would become a natural host to a TEDX conference, an independently organized tech event organized by local tech leaders such as Yossi Vardi, one of Israel’s first high-tech entrepreneurs. On October 12th, 2015, 1,800 like-minded people will come together in Tel Aviv’s Port Hangar 11 to be inspired and reenergized by renowned entrepreneurs like Jared Morgenstein and Sivan Ya’ari, founder of Innovation Africa.

TEDX White City will be Israel’s largest TEDX event yet and will be open to a wider audience. Israel’s developing reputation as the ‘Start Up City‘ will be put on display with its large entrepreneurial ecosystem. The two event organizers are Ilan Hazam and Shahar Graf, who founded the event this past year. Working alongside them is Yossi Vardi, often known as the Godfather of Israel’s High-Tech Industry.

Other notable speakers will include Arnon Zamir, director of TOM – Tikkun Olam Makers, scheduled to lecture on ‘72 Hours To Make A Better World’ and Jonathan Levi, an experienced entrepreneur and angel investor from the Silicon Valley, addressing ‘What if Schools Actually Taught Us How to Learn?’ TEDx Talks are conveniently timed at 18 minutes or less, which makes for strong and powerful talks.

This event is an opportunity to mingle and network with some of the best known names in the industry. Behind the scenes is a group of inspirational young adults, devoted to the success of this event and to the greater purpose of ‘ideas worth spreading.’
