As a member of the the Israeli Chef Circle & WACS (World Association of Chefs), Chef Alfred has participated in several international food competitions representing Israel, but it’s his expertise and special ‘super foods’ menu back at the InterContinental David Tel Aviv that sets him apart in Israel. Alfred’s love of food and cooking while experimenting and developing new dishes led to his passion of creating the concept at the hotel’s restaurant, Aubergine.
Mix the passion with pleasure, and you find that the super foods creation is a part of his greater way of celebrating the body and mind. Chef Alfred spends at least an hour of his morning preparing for the kitchen with a Tai Chi session, making him a top chef with a top attitude. On Tuesday mornings he opens up his session to hotel guests, where they can become one with the beautiful Tel Aviv beach, a view from the hotel, or just the pool by their feet. As if the scenery itself wasn’t calming enough, the Tai Chi technique gives you a boost in energy that you will need to eat all the crazy delicious and healthy food coming your way.
