Jerusalem‘s main food market, Machane Yehuda, is truly a feast for all the senses. From the tantalizing colors of fresh seasonal food chopped in half, to the shouts of vendors selling freshly baked challah on a Friday, to the boys at Halva King standing in the main aisle handing out free tastes of halva, there is no other market like it in the world. Shopping at the Shuk requires a strong determination and resolve as shoppers might get pushed, shoved, or trodden on in all the buzz and excitement but if you can manage the discomfort, the smells and tastes and eye candy will win you over. Here is a glimpse of Shuk Machane Yehuda.
