Celebratory Street Party in the Yemenite Quarter

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 10 May 2016
Often referred to as the Kerem (vineyard in English), this historic area of the city is a convergence of young and old, creating a unique energy unlike anywhere else. The Kerem is located next door to the Carmel Market, with cobbled streets and plenty of hole-in-the-wall spots. On the eve of Independence Day, the streets will be filled with locals for this year’s street party, celebrating out loud with a signature DJ lineup, dancing, drinking and other festivities. There will also be low-cost food stalls with an assortment of cuisines to taste. Tickets cost 70 NIS to enter, including free drinks all night long.
