Winter is here. Sort of.
With the next season of Game of Thrones so close, we thought we’d let all you die-hard fans know that there’s an awesome GOT-style pop up bar in Edinburgh, Scotland!
Created by the awesome peeps at The Pop Up Geeks, who have hosted Harry Potter events in the past and are currently working on a drinks menu inspired by The Walking Dead universe, guests can now get that little bit closer to the real world of Westeros.
Aptly named Blood & Wine (we so see that Targaryen reference there guys), you’ll be able to get your groove on Red Wedding style (hopefully without all that carnage) in the basement of Daylight Robbery every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night until March 30.
Fans can down a load of awesome cocktail creations and wines (fabulous puns included), which have all been designed to reflect the favourite piss-ups of the most powerful figures of the Seven Kingdoms. Arbor Gold and Dornish Sour Red are just some of the wines up for grabs and you can even enjoy a few cocktails inspired by Tyrion and Cersei Lannister.
If you like your stuff neat, there’s also a brand of shockingly strong Icelandic vodka on offer, which was specially created by actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson – otherwise known as Ser Gregor Clegane in the HBO series.
Oh, and there’s food. How could we forget the food! From Sansa’s famous lemon cakes to Walter Frey’s hearty pies, there’s oodles to munch on in the GOT kitchen. Best part? In between all the eating and drinking you can play and pose with replica props from the TV show!
The Game of Thrones pop up bar is at 26B Dublin St, Edinburgh EH3 6NN and will remain popped up until March 30, 2017.
