Updated: 30 March 2016
The 16th annual Belfast Film Festival is coming back for 10 days of movie-heaven. Celebrating the artistry of sound in films, new world cinema, and documentary panorama, there will be film installations, short film previews, visits from local filmmakers, discussions and debates that are bound to get you thinking of what should be the best film in the festival. You will also have the chance to witness three major anniversary screenings: the 40th anniversary of the classic 1970s drama Taxi Driver, 30th anniversary of Labyrinth, and a special screening of Jane Eyre in Brontë On Screen, marking 200 years since Brontë’s birth. With a visit from acclaimed director Terence Davies, you know there will be films and discussions you don’t want to miss.
