Celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, the American holiday Thanksgiving is a blessing of the harvest, and an excuse to feast with family and friends. Whether you’re looking to raise a glass to the Plymouth colonists and the Macy’s parade or simply an excuse to stuff yourself with turkey, here are a few party suggestions.

Timeless American Glamour at Christopher’s

For those looking to celebrate Thanksgiving with a touch of timeless glamour, get dressed up and head to Christopher’s. London’s original American restaurant is set within a Grade II listed building amidst Covent Garden’s theatres and markets. Raise a toast with one of their speciality cocktails, before sitting down to an elegant three-course feast including caramelised Orkney scallops, slow-cooked organic turkey and pumpkin pie with bourbon cream.

A Thanksgiving Feast at Big Easy

B.B.Q and crabshack, Big Easy, celebrate Thanksgiving with a feast fit for their meat hungry regulars. Dinner is served family style, with the choice of pit-smoked turkey or whole Nova Scotian lobster (for those who fancy something a little different). These are accompanied by cornbread stuffing, sweet potato mash and green bean casserole, finishing with Jack Daniels infused pumpkin pie. The menu is available at the Convent Garden, Kings Road and Canary Wharf locations, so you have plenty of choice of where to dine.

Dinner with a view at The Narrow, Limehouse

For a London take on The Mayflower, book a table by the window at Gordon Ramsay’s Docklands venture and watch the boats or enjoy the panoramic views of the Thames. The Narrow restaurant boasts a three-course set Thanksgiving menu, created by head chef Gerald Mirey and laden with artisan produce. Start with pumpkin soup, before moving onto maple glazed turkey with trimmings and be sure to save some room for a traditional pecan pie, spiked with bourbon ice cream.
