Art and Alcohol

Until Autumn 2016, Open Daily, 10AM – 6PM

It’s undeniable that alcohol often plays a part in artistic creativity, and this year Tate Britain explores this relationship in the exhibition BP Spotlight: Art and Alcohol. Departing from Hogarth’s notorious Gin Lane, the exhibition traces the changing attitudes towards alcohol, as well as its effects on society irrespective of gender, time, location or class. Although the exhibition is on display until 2016, it seems fitting to see the exhibition now as ‘tis the season to be jolly – and get (responsibly) merry!
