We recently caught up with the stars of award-winning drama Moonlight and spoke to them about what is already being hailed as one of the best films of the year.

James Bond’s Moneypenny Naomie Harris highlighted how the film was different to some of the other bigger budget movies she makes. Her Oscar-nominated performance was apparently filmed over the course of only three days during the promotional tour for Spectre.

Luke Cage star Mahershala Ali told us a bit more about his character, a drug-dealer who shows has a tender side when it comes to a troubled youngster. Was he a good influence in the end?

The final act of the film focuses on a grown up version of the young boy, who is now played by Trevante Rhodes. André Holland plays an old friend who calls up out of the blue and the pair told us about what that meeting meant to the characters.

If you haven’t checked out our exclusive interview with Moonlight director Barry Jenkins, make sure you do so right here.

Moonlight is released in the UK on February 17
