Visit Trafalgar Square and be transported to the 19th century with the London Symphony Orchestra’s performances of Tchaikovsky’s legendary works. For the entire evening, fans of Tchaikovsky will be able to feel the sweet notes fill their ears as the orchestra performs three of his magnificent works. Conducted by Valery Gergiev, you will hear the Russian composer’s 1812 Overture, a section from the famed Swan Lake, and the great Symphony No. 4. Paul Rissman will be presenting and will also feature 42 young musicians from the LSO On Track and 23 students from Guildhall’s School of Music and Drama playing alongside the esteemed orchestra. This hotly anticipated event is a fixture in London’s musical calendar and welcomes thousands of Londoners and visitors to their fifth event in the BMW LSO Open Air Classics series.
