Where do you go if you love avocado so much you wish you could eat it for every meal?

An avocado restaurant, of course!

Luckily for all you avofans, London’s first avocado restaurant has just opened in Covent Garden, following Amsterdam and New York’s offerings.

Now you can eat the delicious green fruit in as many different guises as you can think of in central London. The restaurant, called Avobar, is a three-month pop-up in Covent Garden’s Floral Street – but is only a testing ground for the planned permanent venue, which will be opening later this spring in Covent Garden’s Henrietta Street.

It creates all things avocado, from the ubiquitous yet delicious avocado toast to avocado brownie, poké bowls, shakshuka and a fabulous red lentil and sweet potato burger with two avocado halves instead of a burger bun.

And it’s not just Insta-bait – the food is tasty and innovative. We especially liked the pulled pork bun with sliced avocado and spicy mayo and a deconstructed avocado and white chocolate cheesecake.

The space exudes a relaxed Californian vibe, with natural textures and lots of plants. If your go-to brunch choice is always avo toast, you should definitely check it out.

Address: 18, Floral Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom
