The Best Comedy Clubs in North London

While many of London’s comedy clubs can be found in Central London, North London boasts its own selection of comic outposts that are guaranteed to leave audiences in stitches. Beware though, there are two pubs called The Camden Head – in Camden and Angel – which both host comedy nights, so be sure to double check the venue.

Angel Comedy Club

Boasting two North London venues, Angel Comedy Club can be found both in The Camden Head (Angel, NOT Camden) and The Bill Murray, roughly a 10-minute walk from Angel tube station. Entry to both venues is often free on a first come, first served basis – but check the website first because some events are priced.

Funny Feckers

Head to The Constitution pub by Regent’s Canal to catch Funny Feckers, an open mic comedy night held here every Thursday. Entrance is free and guests are only asked to pay what they think the show is worth. Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm.

Camden Comedy Club

Hiding away above The Camden Head pub (Camden, not Angel), the intimate Camden Comedy Club is less than five minutes’ walk from Camden Town tube station. Saturday nights here are hosted by the Hampstead Comedy Club, which has been serving up laughs in various venues for nearly 25 years.

Amused Moose Comedy

Boasting another comic chapter in Soho, Amused Moose Comedy can be found at The Water Rats pub in King’s Cross on the last Saturday of every month, but check the website before heading there because this can vary. The comedy room opens from 7.45pm for a show that starts at 8pm and lasts until around 10pm.

Monkey Business Comedy Club

Found in Hampstead Café Rouge, Monkey Business Comedy Club is just a minute’s walk from Hampstead tube station. With comedy on Thursdays, Saturdays and usually the last Sunday of every month (double check this first), this is ideal for anyone looking to avoid the hustle and bustle of Camden.
