North London is a treasure trove of charity shops and some of the area’s best-populated locations include Holloway Road, Highgate and Finchley, where it’s worth parking up and preparing yourself for a bit of a ‘crawl’. Home to the likes of Scope, Sense and All Aboard as well as the more traditional listings (Oxfam, Cancer Research and The British Heart Foundation), this thriving area is a great place to go on the hunt for a bargain, and all in aid of a good cause.

Discover the best charity shops in central London here.

Finchley, whilst small and unassuming, boasts a handful of worthy charity shops, not least Oxfam’s local branch, where you’ll find the usual clothing, books and keepsakes as well as specially-designed cards and, if you’re lucky, the odd collectable.

Scope, Holloway Road

Despite the fact that it’s hard to pin-point a specific theme within a charity shop’s stock, Scope on Holloway Road seems to consistently house somewhat more contemporary finds than you might come across elsewhere. Clothing-wise, this is a strong choice for a North London browse.
