This cool customer is located in one of London’s most chic and vibrant areas. Bermondsey Street and the surrounding area have undergone a drastic transformation transformed in the past few years. Once home to a booming leather and wool industry, now a new, trendy hipster, graphic design vibe prevails. The area hasn’t lost its personality though and it retains its slightly rough around-the-edges feel. The area is now home to the fascinating White Cube Gallery, the V&A’s Fashion and Textile Museum, and an huge range of restaurants, pubs, bars, independent shops and boutiques. The hotel itself blends industrial chic and an unpretentious trendy feel. There’s a comfortable open plan lounge area with books to thumb through and a laid back restaurant bar aptly named ‘At Home’, with air hockey and old school arcade games. The rooms are everything you could ask for too, with Wi-Fi and bright, modern décor, with a powerful designer shower and a 32-inch flat-screen TV. Bliss.
