Choosing where to stay can be tricky, especially somewhere like Central London, where the choice of hotels can be overwhelming. There are plenty of luxurious hotels on offer, but then there are lots of great alternative places to stay, too, like these brilliant boutique hotels that won’t break the bank.

Crescent Hotel

Approximately 10 minutes from both Euston and King’s Cross tube and train stations, the Crescent Hotel could not be better placed as a springboard for travelling within the capital, around the country – and even globally via Eurostar links to Paris and Brussels.

Premier Inn London Leicester Square

Ideal for families, children aged 15 and under stay and eat free with a paying adult at the Premier Inn London Leicester Square. This hotel is just 100 feet away from Leicester Square, and barely a two-minute walk to the tube station, so it’s great for theatre goers looking to spend lots of time in the West End.

Jesmond Hotel

Less than five minutes’ walk from Goodge Street tube station and approximately 10 minutes from Warren Street tube station, as well as Euston tube and train station, the Jesmond Hotel is well connected for travel both inside and outside of London.

Park Plaza London Waterloo

Just a two-minute walk from Lambeth North Station, the Park Plaza London Waterloo puts guests in close proximity to the River Thames, the Houses of Parliament and the Imperial War Museum, which has been documenting the history of modern warfare since 1917 and is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel.

Premier Inn London Holborn

Just over a five-minute walk from Holborn and Chancery Lane tube stations, Premier Inn London Holborn is approximately half a mile from the treasure trove of civilisational history that is the British Museum. Again, kids aged 15 and under stay and eat free with a paying adult.

Russell House Hotel

Located right next door to Russell Square Station, the Russell House Hotel is perfect for anyone travelling to London via Heathrow Airport, which is roughly an hour away on the Piccadilly Line – so heavy luggage does not need to be carried very far at all.

Travelodge London Central Southwark

Less than five minutes from Southwark tube station and approximately 10 minutes from Waterloo tube and train station, the Travelodge London Central Southwark Hotel is great for families. Also one for culture vultures, it’s in close proximity to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern art gallery. Children aged 15 and under enjoy a free breakfast buffet and board with paying parents.

hub by Premier Inn London Covent Garden

Less than a five-minute walk from Charing Cross and Leicester Square tube stations, hub by Premier Inn London Covent Garden resides in the heart of London’s West End. It is ideal for anyone looking to visit nearby sights like Trafalgar Square and the National Portrait Gallery.
