Have you ever wondered what will be left of the planet if we don’t start living sustainably now? Avoid ever finding out, by joining in the annual global celebration and switch off your lights for one hour during this year’s WWF’s Earth Hour. The event that began in Sydney, Australia in 2007 has grown rapidly, with 172 countries and territories now involved. Here in London, the WWF-UK has teamed up with South Bank London to bring you an unforgettable experience. So, as you turn your lights off, why not enjoy a candlelit dinner or maybe even an Earth Hour inspired cocktail at one of the many involved favourites along South Bank for a romantic riverside night. This symbolic night will also see many of the capital’s most iconic destinations switch off their lights, joining millions across the world in putting a spotlight on one of the largest issues facing our planet today. If Buckingham Palace – alongside Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, The Gherkin and many more – can switch off their lights, why can’t you?
